What Are Fairy Portraits?
Fairy portraits are imaginative, storybook-style photos of your child in a magical studio set. Think soft light, twinkly details, and a mix of posed and candid expressions. Your child chooses wings and props, I guide them through simple posing, and together we create artwork that looks like it came out of a storybook.
All fairy sessions with Studio Q Photography are photographed in my Vancouver, WA studio, so we can control the lighting, styling, and atmosphere no matter what the weather is doing outside.

What Happens During a Fairy Portrait Session
Before Your Session
We’ll start with a quick planning chat by email or Google Meet so I can learn about your child, their personality, and what kind of artwork you’d love for your home. I’ll send a simple prep guide with tips on clothing, hair, and how to get little ones excited for their “fairy day.”
During Your Session
Fairy sessions take place in my Vancouver studio. Your child will:
• Choose wings and simple props
• Step into a styled set created just for fairy portraits
• Be gently guided into flattering, natural poses
• Have time to warm up, play a little, and show their real personality
Sessions typically last about 30-45 minutes so we can create a variety of looks without overwhelming your child.
After Your Session - The Reveal & Ordering Appointment
About a couple weeks after your session, we’ll meet for a Reveal & Ordering Appointment. I’ll show you the best images, help you select favorites, and design printed artwork together with wall portraits, albums, gift prints, or a fairy keepsake box. You only purchase what you love, and every printed image includes a matching social-media file for sharing.
