Whether they're outgoing, quiet, quirky, serious, goofy, or somewhere in between, my goal isn't to make them perform for the camera. It's to create portraits that actually look and feel like them.

Hi, I'm Tammy
I'm the photographer behind Studio Q Photography, and I believe portraits don't have to be stressful to be beautiful.
My approach is relaxed, patient, and a little playful, with plenty of guidance along the way.
I especially love photographing kids, tweens, and high school seniors. My goal is simple: to create portraits that look like the people you love and turn them into something you can actually hold, hang on your walls, and keep.

Where do sessions take place?
My private portrait studio is in Vancouver, WA, near I-205 and Burton Road or outdoor locations in Washington within a 20-minute drive of the studio.
What if my child or senior feels awkward in front of the camera?
They don’t need to know how to pose or be naturally outgoing. I’ll guide them throughout the session, help them settle in, and give them something to do so they aren’t left wondering where to put their hands. Quiet expressions are just as welcome as big smiles.
Can you accommodate neurodivergent kids and teens?
Yes. Tell me about any sensitivities, concerns, or supports that help them feel comfortable. I can keep instructions simple, allow breaks, and adjust my approach to suit the person I’m photographing.
What should they wear?
Choose clothing that fits comfortably and feels like them. Solid colors, subtle patterns, layers, and textures photograph beautifully. I’ll help you plan outfits that suit the session while leaving room for their personal style.
Can they bring something personal?
Absolutely. A favorite book, musical instrument, sports gear, letter jacket, or well-loved toy can help tell their story. Let me know what they’d like to bring so we can plan how to include it.
When should I book?
A few weeks ahead gives us time to plan. For senior portraits, contact me earlier if possible, and let me know your school’s yearbook deadline. If you need portraits or printed gifts by a particular date, mention that when you inquire.
Do you submit senior portraits to the yearbook?
Let me know your school’s requirements and submission deadline when we plan the session. We’ll make sure to create a portrait that meets the requirements and discuss how it needs to be delivered.
How do we choose our portraits?
After the session, we’ll meet at the studio to view your portraits together. I’ll help you choose your favorites and explore digital images, gift prints, framed artwork, and albums. Visit the pricing page for current session and product details.
