How to Choose Wall Art Without Overthinking It

Unsure what to print or what size to choose? Here’s an easy guide to selecting wall art you’ll love for years.

Choosing what to print can feel overwhelming until you have a simple way to decide.

Here’s how I help clients choose wall art without overthinking it.

1) Start with where it will live

Pick one space:

  • living room

  • hallway

  • bedroom

  • stairway

  • office

Your wall art should fit a real place, not a vague idea.

2) Choose the feeling you want

Do you want:

  • calm and classic?

  • bright and joyful?

  • dramatic and soulful?

This helps narrow the best images fast.

3) Choose your “anchor” portrait first

That’s the one that belongs big on the wall. Everything else can support it.

4) Add gift prints last

Once your main wall art is chosen, gift prints are easy:

  • grandparents

  • wallets/desk prints (if you want them)

  • small framed pieces

And if you’re thinking: “I’m bad at this…”

You’re not. You just need help making the decision.

That’s why I do it with you, so you don’t end up with digital files sitting on a hard drive for three years.

If you want portraits that live long in your home, I’m here.
