The Fairy Wardrobe
Every session begins in the fairy closet! I have a curated collection of handmade wings, flower crowns, and whimsical dresses in a range of sizes. I’ll help your little one pick the perfect outfit that makes them feel magical from the moment they slip it on.
Set the Scene
The studio transforms into an enchanted forest, complete with a pond, a mushroom to sit on, a soft, dreamy backdrop, and fairy magic. Everything is styled to spark wonder and capture timeless storybook charm. I guide each child with simple, playful prompts so their expressions stay joyful and natural.
Capturing the Magic
This is where the magic really happens. With gentle direction and plenty of silly fairy jokes, I capture a variety of poses and moments—whether they’re twirling, whispering secrets to a flying fairy, or just gazing dreamily into the light. The goal is to preserve not just how they look, but how they feel in this moment of wonder.
The Artistry
After your session, I hand-edit each image with care and creativity. Wings are enhanced, sparkles are added, and backgrounds are gently painted with light and whimsy. This is where each portrait becomes a true work of art—something worthy of being framed, treasured, and passed down.
A Fairytale Ending
During your ordering appointment, you'll see the magic unfold. From fine art prints and heirloom albums to wall-worthy canvases, I help you choose pieces that will bring the enchantment of this experience into your home for years to come.

Why portrait photography is so special...

Some common questions answered for you.
Why did you change your name from Fraley Photography to Studio Q Photography?
It’s a long story, but here’s the short version: I originally named my business after my last name because I thought that’s what you were supposed to do. Over time, I considered changing it—it never felt very creative—but I stuck with it because people knew me as Fraley Photography. Then I realized… why not change it? So I did. The idea came quickly: first a tagline, Live Long In Portraits, then the name—Studio Q Photography. It was available, and I loved it. And yes, the “Q” is a little nod to Star Trek 🖖🏻
Booking & Availability
How far in advance should I book?
Sessions often fill up quickly—especially during peak seasons—so I recommend booking as far in advance as you can. Check out my availability HERE. If you have a special date or senior yearbook deadline, reach out ASAP.
What’s included with the session fee?
Your session fee covers planning, photography time, professional editing, and a viewing/ordering appointment. It also includes an order credit you can apply to prints, wall art, albums, or digital images. View my prices HERE.
Do you require a retainer to hold the date?
Yes. A non-refundable retainer of $200 is due at booking to reserve your time; it’s applied to your session fee. The balance is due by your session day.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes—PayPal Credit, Afterpay, and Studio Payment Plans are available. We’ll set up a plan at your ordering appointment.
Where do sessions take place?
In-studio in Vancouver, WA or on-location around Clark County (parks, urban spots, rivers, etc.). I’ll help match a location to your vibe.
Do you photograph pets / extended family?
Absolutely. Pets and grandparents are part of the story. Just let me know during booking so I can plan posing and timing.
Prep & What to Expect
What should we wear?
Keep it coordinated, not “matchy.” Solid or subtle patterns, layers, and textures photograph beautifully. Avoid neon/logos. I’ll send a simple style guide after you book.
Can you help with hair & makeup?
For seniors, I can recommend trusted artists or add it as an upgrade. Natural, camera-ready is the goal.
My child is shy/has sensory needs. Can you accommodate?
Yes. I build breaks into the flow, keep instructions simple, and follow your child’s lead. Share any triggers, routines, or supports that help them feel safe and successful.
Any day-of tips?
Arrive a few minutes early, bring water/snacks, and please remove chipped nail polish and temporary tattoos beforehand (they’re tough to retouch).
Session Day
How long will my session last?
Most sessions last about an hour.
What if the weather is bad?
PNW happens! For outdoor sessions, we’ll watch the forecast and reschedule if needed for heavy rain or high winds. Overcast is actually great for portraits.
What if someone gets sick?
Please let me know as soon as possible. We’ll pick the next available date—healthy, happy faces make the best photos.
Viewing, Ordering & Investment
When do we see the photos?
About 2–3 weeks after your session, I’ll invite you back to my studio to view your images and place your order.
Is there a minimum purchase or high-pressure sales?
No minimums, no pressure. Buy only what you love. I’ll guide you on sizing/layouts so your artwork looks amazing in your home.
How much do clients typically invest?
Most families invest between $600–$2,500 on finished artwork. à la carte options are available to fit a range of budgets. View my pricing HERE.
Do you offer design help for walls and albums?
Yes. I can mock up gallery walls to scale using a photo of your space and custom-design your album spreads.
Delivery
What’s the turnaround time?
Finished artwork typically takes 4–8 weeks after your order, depending on the product.
How do we receive our order?
Local clients pick up at the studio so I can quality-check with you. Out-of-town? I can ship insured for an additional fee.
